Ok, ok… I’ll admit the title of this post is totally untrue. Frank Kern, the massively successful Internet marketer, is not on TV (yet). But if you’ve ever seen the show LOST you might think that he was.  You see, there is an actor on that show who looks amazingly similar to Frank. His name is Josh Holloway and he plays the hunky con-man, Sawyer.

I’ve actually thought about making a blog post about this a few times but never did it. Last night, while I was watching LOST I couldn’t stop comparing the two, so I thought, “What the hell!”  Some of you that know me personally will remember that the first thing I said when I first saw Sarah Palin was, “Wow! She looks just like Tina Fey!”  Soon after, the world came to realize exactly what I saw on Saturday Night Live.  Just in case the producers of LOST are thinking about using Frank Kern as Sawyer’s evil twin on the show, this blog post will be my proof that I thought of it first.

Are looks where the similarities end between these two?

I think it might be, but I had a tough time trying to figure that out for sure.  As far as I can tell, the only other things these two seem to have in common is that they’re both married and they hang out at the beach a lot. Frank, of course, is open about his love for surfing, while Josh spends much of his time on a Hawaiian island shooting the show.

You see, I could easily find information on Josh Holloway, but finding bio information on Frank Kern was not so simple.  When you Google Frank Kern you’ll be bombarded with Mass Control promotions and old articles like this one.  He’s very well known for his impressive copywriting and marketing skills. He seems to really understand the psychology behind marketing and how to use it to create  massive sales.  I’ve actually purchased one of his products (InfoMillionaire) and can atest to the high quality of his products. Plus, I really enjoy his laid back style and his videos are fun to watch while providing some solid information at the same time.

Josh Holloway, it seems, only looks like Frank right now because of his current role as Sawyer.  I discovered that although he thinks his long hair is “cool” he actually hates it.  Prior to becoming an actor, he actually had a successful career as a model. Turns out, Josh is originally from the South too (Georgia, to be exact) and he enjoys fried chicken and chocolate pie. Prior to getting his role on LOST, Josh thought about quitting the acting biz and got his real estate license as a fall back.  Can you imagine Frank Kern selling you a house?  Oddly enough, I can.  I think he can probably sell anything he decides he’s gonna sell!

Here’s some other interesting facts about these two:

• Josh Holloway’s first job was picking up dead chickens at a farm. *ew*

• Frank Kern’s first Internet marketing business was “Internet Marketing Empire.”

• Josh Holloway and his wife were robbed at gunpoint in their Hawaii home back in 2005.  Both were unharmed and an arrest was made.

• Frank Kern was investigated for building a pyramid scheme and later became bankrupt back in 1999.

• My favorite Josh Holloway quote is, “If I were single?… Damn, I’d have one girl doing my laundry, one shaving me, one bringing me a cocktail and another one coming out of my tent all hung over.”

• My favorite Frank Kern quote is, “Buy my s#%t!”

One last thing, in 2005, People magazine named Josh Holloway as one of their 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.  I guess, in a way, Frank can feel a sense of pride about that too.
